What is SmartTutor?
SmartTutor is a Singapore tutoring service that combines a 24/7 AI tutor for unlimited practice and instant help with vetted human tutors for guidance, marking and motivation. You can use the AI on its own, request a human tutor, or choose the hybrid that pairs both.
How is the AI tutor different from a human tutor?
The AI tutor is available any time to explain concepts, generate practice questions and give instant step-by-step feedback. A human tutor adds accountability, marks open-ended work like compositions and essays, and tailors a learning plan. Many families use both: the AI for daily practice and a human tutor for weekly sessions.
Which levels and subjects do you cover?
We cover Primary (PSLE), Secondary (N-Level and O-Level), JC (A-Level), IP, IB and IGCSE across English, Maths, the Sciences, Chinese, Economics and more. See our Subjects and Levels pages for details.
How does tutor matching work?
Tell us the student’s level, subjects and preferences through the Request a Tutor form. We shortlist suitable tutors and get back to you, usually within one working day. There is no obligation to proceed.
Do you guarantee better grades?
No responsible tutor can guarantee a specific grade. What we provide is consistent, syllabus-aligned practice and qualified tutors designed to help students improve. Outcomes depend on the student’s effort and starting point.
Is my child’s personal data safe?
Yes. We follow Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). The parent or legal guardian is the account holder and gives consent on the child’s behalf, we collect only what we need, and you can withdraw consent or request access at any time via our Data Protection Officer. Am I speaking to a real person or AI?
We always make it clear when you are interacting with the AI tutor versus a human tutor or our team. The AI tutor is labelled as AI and, like all AI, can occasionally be wrong — please verify important information.
